I can’t sit still. I grew up ski racing at Burke Mtn Academy, which gave me the opportunity to travel and compete internationally. It also sidelined me with injuries that landed me in physical therapy. Not able to exhaust my energy through athletics I poured myself into learning how the human body moves and heals; so I began my career in healthcare. I recognized a niche in the field of orthopedic rehabilitation and started a clinic specializing in helping injured athletes return to competition. Movement has always been the basis for my life. But eventually life started to feel stagnant. I had been in the same place doing the same thing for over a third of my life. See, I’ve had this daydream since I first got my driver’s license; where I’d spend a winter road tripping across the West chasing storms and skiing powder. It’s a daydream that sustained me through some serious turbulence in life. And in the wake of that turbulence I discovered that I needed to stop dreaming about it and just do it. So I sold my business, my house, my cars and what stuff I didn’t get rid of I put in to storage. I bought a van. I did most the conversation myself, building 66sqft of living space that can take me anywhere I want to go. After a winter in BC and around the western US, I headed to the desert to thaw out and soak in the sun while riding bikes and climbing rocks.
