Welcome to Roadhouse Brewing Company! This being our inaugural blog post, it seems appropriate to share a bit about who we are and what our beers and company aspire to bring to both your palate and our community. A few years ago, our brewing operation answered the decree of positive circumstance and we decided to expand beyond our restaurant roots. The process took a few years and culminated in our newly opened 10,000 square foot production facility featuring a German-engineered brewing system and bottling line, state-of-the-art lab program, barrel aging facility and plenty of room to grow. This new space allows us to make around fifty times the beer we were making in our original brewery. It offers our brewers the opportunity to focus on consistency in our staple products, while also providing capacity to flex the creative muscles that power our experimental, specialty-batch brews.
But… who exactly is Roadhouse? We are a small team of around ten folks working hard to craft the best beer possible. We are a Belgian brewery in our roots and have a series of bottle-conditioned, aged and soured beers to reflect that. But this reverence for our history exists in hybrid with our love of IPAs and experimental beers, like our Sweet Potato Porter, that allow us to get adventurous with the art of brewing. We believe in the prosperous collaboration of beer, food, music and experience in symmetry with each other. We stand behind our social mission to support our community through our partnership with Teton County Search and Rescue, employment alliance with Community Entry Services, adoption sponsorship of a Yellowstone Grizzly Bear named Sam and the extended work we do with local nonprofits to enhance the vitality of our community.
Likewise, we believe our business has a responsibility to the environment it impacts. We have solar panels to offset our energy use and feed back to the grid, louvers to control our airflow and the temperatures in our coolers, we donate our spent grain to a local farmer and source our bulk grains locally, we use recycled materials and have a nitrogen generator to pull gas from the air, instead of purchasing tanks. All these things work together to help make us greener, but they’re just the beginning. Expect to see greater sustainable initiatives in the future, as our brewery continues to grow.
In today’s evolutionary craft beer market, we aim to standout through our high-quality, fiercely independent products, as well as our culture and values. We’re serious about the business of making beer, but we never take ourselves too seriously. Having fun, finding outlets for self-expression, remembering the reasons we all moved to Jackson Hole and celebrating the drive that pushed us into the craft beer business to begin with are essential components to bringing you, our customers, the best beer possible.
With the launch of our new blog and website, we invite you to stay tuned for more from the Roadhouse staff, our Brand Ambassadors and our community partners in the future.
Thank you for supporting our growing business. We look forward to having a pint with you soon.
